THE HYPE IS REAL. Do yourself a favour and get your bums over to Adamson Barbecue ASAP. It’s hands down the most legit spot to get your BBQ fix in Toronto. The brisket, ribs and sausage were on another level of quality and flavor that I honestly didn’t feel like I was in Toronto. Don’t even think about hitting up Barque, Electric Mud, Carbon Bar and Aft Kitchen and Bar. Everything pales in comparison. I’ve also been to Slows BBQ (Detroit) and Smoque BBQ (Chicago) – Adamson Barbecue def beats those spots.

As soon as I stepped in the door, I knew it was going to be good – it smelled HEAVENLY inside! My boyfriend and I got there at 11:15am and there was already a line (so try and get there early). I know other people had trouble parking but it wasn’t bad at all because we just parked at Home Depot and walked over.

We got a meat platter of 1 pound brisket, 1 pound of ribs, two sausages, sides and two pieces of bread. Honestly I was so focused on eating that I didn’t even take photos of the inside of the restaurant, or more angles of food. Pictures really don’t do this justice though. Everything was perfection, from the fall of the bone ribs, to the soft and tender brisket and even the delish bratwurst. LOVED how the ribs and brisket were cooked, they were so damn juicy – really on another level above all the BBQ places I’ve tried. All meats were perfectly seasoned and complimented by a great bbq sauce that had a nice mix of of sweet, spicy and tangy. The coleslaw and beans that we got as sides were amazing as well. If only they had more sides like mac and cheese or cornbread (I’m getting greedy now)!

To top it off, the service was great and the people working there were very friendly! I do hope the lovely people at Adamson Barbeque will eventually change their hours so more people can try this dope place. I really wanted to visit this spot and made it a point to go on my day off. Will definitely visit again.
